Crown Eyeshadow Challenge with an Asian Twist

Hello All,

I know i'm quite late in regards to this challenge but I thought I'll just let you guys know if you're feeling creative randomly like me then you can try this out. I have spontaneous outbursts when it comes to makeup and I love just going 'hands-on' and try and create something on the spot. What better way to be creative then do the Crown Eyeshadow Challenge

Obviously it's quite random but that's what I am! I'm gonna give you guys the tips and tricks I used to create this look (disclaimer: I did not watch any YouTube tutorials on this challenge but saw a picture on Instagram of the look)

Firstly, I primed my eyelids with my BarryM primer and then I used Jane Iredale Colour Corrective Palette in 'Beige'

Then I wanted to set the concealer with some loose powder so I used my YSL Souffle D'Eclat in '4'. This helped with the base before I started caking myself in eyeshadow.

Firstly, you have to create an eyeshadow base (this is kinda like the background effect to the crown). I used the Zoeva Nude Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette in shade 'ND080' which was the burgundy brown colour (middle row, one down from the top)

Then, I had to shape the crown out, using hand - eye coordination. It's not as easy as it looks, because your eyelids are not flat e.g. like you can draw on your cheeks quite easily. It's not the same for your eyelids. I was struggling quite a bit whilst my sister was too busy laughing at me thinking i'm some sort of weirdo. Anyways, draw out the crown. I used my Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Eyeliner in '005 Nude'. Then after drawing the crown out, I had to colour the crown in again using the Zoeva Nude Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette in shade 'ND070' which was the glittery orange colour, can't explain how well pigmented this palette is (first row, one down from top).

After this, I used the Elf Expert Liquid Liner in 'Copper'. This was just to enhance and outline the crown.

Now for the ASIAN TWIST - I couldn't find any stick on diamante anywhere. So in an Asian household what do you do? Dive straight into your Asian cupboard where you have that old vintage jewellery hidden catching dust - and that's where your BINDIYAASSSS are! So that's how I managed to get the little diamonds on my crown! Literally shredding my bindis apart to create this look. LISTEN, if you wanna be creative, all the components to your creativity is lying around in your room. You don't need to always buy something and 'get the look'. Rummage in your house!

Anyways thats my Crown Eyeshadow Challenge done! I got some more pictures on my  INSTAGRAM so follow me there to find out more.
